7 Creative and Cool Beds

Everyone spends almost 1/3 life on beds. Hence, bed is kind of most important furniture at home. In this blog, we will introduce you 7 creative, cool, and unusual beds. Some of them are very comfortable, while some definitely weren?t designed for a good night?s sleep.

1. The Feel Sofa / Bed [link]

This unusual bed looks like it has the potential to be extremely comfortable.

2. The Bed Up [link]

It would take a brave person to live and work beneath this bed.

3 Hamburger Bed [link]

this bed is made by someone who addicted to Hamburger. She bought a round mattress from the 70’s and made everything else herself…

What you need to make your hamburger bed

1 circular bed and “box” frame (mine is way bigger than it looks and took some stealthy moves to get it in my house) 2 tones of light brown fabric dark brown king fitted sheet memory foam king sized yellow and green sheets 30 pillows a couple of zippers pantyhose (for the sesame seeds)

4 Bed You Don’t Want to Roll Over In [link]

that is a crazy design….Though it may be perfectly shaped for the fetal position, this bed definitely wasn’t designed with a good night’s sleep in mind.

5 Bed that fits in a bookcase [link]

With space being at such a premium in crowded cities, an upstart young designer has devised a bookcase that transforms into a bed. Looking like a large wall jigsaw puzzle, the mattress stands upright in four sections, surrounding five storage shelves which are suspended in mid-air by a wall mounted frame. When the mattress sections are placed on the floor they slot together to form the bed.

6 Magnetically Levitating Bed [link]

Every so often, we like to take a look at things whose functionality isn’t measured in gigabytes or megabangs, but instead just look amazing. This magnetic floating bed, I submit, may be among the coolest things we’ve ever covered. Designed by Dutchman Janjaap Ruijssenaars, it’s got enough magnets to keep 900 kilograms (1,984 pounds) floating in the air. To make sure that the bed doesn’t float away should it become windy (or “interesting,” wink wink), it’s tethered to the walls by four cables.

Technically, the magnetic floating bed is for sale, but at a price of 1.2 million euros ($1.53 million), you’re not likely to find it in your local mattress store.

7 The Sleep Pod [link]

The Transport Perpetual Pod is a bed designed by Alberto Frias, and it looks like the ideal way to get a good night?s sleep since sleeping inside this temperature controlled and motion controlled water bed could be Literally a dream come true. There is a sound system that is provided by Anthony Gallo Acoustics, Colour Kinetics supply the LED lighting inside, and as I mentioned earlier, the temperature and motion is controlled. The music can be synchronized to play your favorite tunes from you computer, iPod or home stereo. Overall, you will have your own personal meditation space when you invest in a Transport Perceptual Pod.
